The Builders Council promotes the value of new

the association within our community. The Council provides successful
governmental lobbying efforts and strives to limit burdensome regulations and
requirements involving the Building Industry.
eligibility
Builder Membership is available, subject to election
thereto as hereinafter provided, to persons, firms or corporations meeting the
following requirements:
For a minimum of one year have been principally engaged
in building single or multi-family homes or commercial structures.
Have completed and sold or rented in own and/or firm's
name a minimum of our single or multi-family homes or commercial structures.
Meetings: The Builders Council meets every other month.

The Metro Omaha Builders Association Remodelors
Council is dedicated to providing quality education, and information as well as
business and social networking opportunities to members of the building
industry. The Council helps expand the overall membership and stature of MOBA
by encouraging Builders, Remodelers, and Associates
to join the association and receive association and council benefits.
The "Remodelors
Council" conducts one community service project each year that is selected by
the council.
They meet on the third Thursday of every month, unless the date
conflicts with the monthly dinner meeting. The meeting is then changed to an
alternate Thursday in the month.
eligibility
Any Builder or Associate member or employee of a firm that is a
member of MOBA is eligible for membership in the "Remodelors
Council."
Meetings: Monthly Council Meeting
is the third Thursday of each month.
Dues: $35 A year.

associates

mission statement
The Associate Council represents sub-contractors, suppliers,
lenders, etc. who are members of the Metro Omaha Builders Association. The
purpose of this council is to provide a vehicle for all MOBA Associates to be
actively involved in the functions and activities of this association. Its goal
is to lend Associates' support to the projects, events and overall success of
the Association and its efforts.
MOBA's Associates Council has
three events it is responsible for every year: Bowling Tournament, MOBA Golf
Tournament that raises money for scholarships, and the MOBA Toolboxes. They
also assist the Women's Council with the Tommy Tree program providing trees to
1500 3rd grade students each year in the metro area.
toy tool boxes for tots
The Associates Council makes and donates Toy Tool Boxes for Tots
every fall. In association with the Remodeler's
Council, the members meet on a Saturday and put nearly 100 Toy Tool Boxes
together with building blocks, coloring books, crayons and stuffed animals.
They are then donated to the Open Door Mission, The Child Saving Institute and
Children's Hospital to be distributed on Christmas morning.

MOBA has many events throughout the year for the public including
The Omaha Home and Builder's Show, The Remodel Omaha Tour, The Spring and Fall
Parade of Homes and the Street of Dreams. MOBA also has many events just for
our members which are the Annual Golf Tournament in May, which is one of the
largest golf tournaments in the state of Nebraska, Cosmic Bowling Night,
Continuing Education and Designation Courses and Membership Dinner Meetings.

The objective of the Women's Council shall be to promote good

Association when called upon. The Council Members strive to obtain more
attractive housing and promote the objectives of the total home building
industry through local, state, national and legislative involvement. The
Council also provides annual college scholarships for female students studying
in industry related fields or careers.

scholarships, education and philanthropy programs.

An award-winning, first-of-its-kind CD-ROM teaching tool that
brings real-life context to classroom lessons. It is designed to create an
educational experience for middle and high school classrooms that delivers the
level of quality kids are accustomed to in computer games. This CD-ROM provides
a simulation of the entire home building experience from choosing a lot to
selling the home to a qualified buyer. Students work within a fixed budget to
design and build a home, solve real-life problems, make important decisions and
use time and money management skills, all in a fun environment that reinforces
math, science, social studies and language arts lessons.
tommy tree:
The Tommy Tree program is in it's 14th year in the Omaha area.
Each April, members of the MOBA Women's Council deliver 2,500 trees to third
graders across the Omaha Metro Area. This program provides the children with
valuable information about trees, how they grow, products that are generated
from trees and how trees effect the environment. A video featuring a tree that
wanted to grow up to be a "home" presents the children with a
learning tool, as well as entertainment. A Tommy Tree bookmark is also given to
the students to remind them of the three "Rs"
Reduce, Recycle and Reuse. This program has enabled more than 25,000 trees to
be planted in the metro area.

Women's Council members work in all aspects of the building
industry — as owners, managers, marketing experts, interior designers, and
mortgage bankers. They are employed by all types of industry-related
businesses.
For members, the Women's Council offers education, networking
opportunities, travel benefits, information access, and access to other Council
and services.

Communication. Newsletter or other communications give
information on member and Council news, meetings, and special events.

Education. Professional educational programs give members an
opportunity to learn from local experts while networking with their peers in
the building industry.
·
Leadership Opportunities. Local and state members are encouraged
to serve in positions of leadership within their Councils — giving them
valuable training for their professional lives as well as in their association
positions.
·
Special events. Many local Councils hold special professional
and social events, including tours, training programs, annual installations,
and other special programs.
·
Community service projects. Along with their home builder
associations and other affiliated councils, Women's Council members participate
in community service activities including Habitat for Humanity, support for
homeless shelters, projects with Job Corps and other youth programs, and
fundraising activities for a great many industry-related causes.
·
Scholarship Programs. Local and State Councils, through their
own fundraising, provide scholarships and initiatives to students pursuing
careers in the home building industry.
·
Association Support. Women's Council's work closely with their
affiliated home builder associations to further the missions of the association
and to the benefit of the home building industry. Councils provide assistance
and support to their home builder associations at statewide conventions and
meetings, for Parades of Homes and Home Shows, as a part of fundraising
campaigns, and in legislative efforts.

The Sales and Marketing Council goal is to further
professionalism in the home building industry by providing top-notch sales and
marketing education, recognition and the opportunity to exchange ideas with the
