ATTENTION BUILDERS!


Win a Trip to Las Vegas 

The person who brings in the most new Builder or Associate Members by Nov. 7th, will win a trip to IBS in Las Vegas in 2009. Only new Builder & Associate members will count toward the total. Affiliate members will not be included, but will count towards spike credits!. The membership contest is open to all MOBA members. The winner will be announced at the Cadillac Stag in November.

National Membership Day - May 20th
Join us for an overland membership journey in search of tomorrow’s leaders! Grab your khakis and bush jackets - we’re going on THE BIG HUNT! A special prize for the most Affiliates recruited wil also be given.

Membership applications need to be in the MOBA Office by 1pm on May 20th for the call to NAHB. Join us for lunch beginning at 11am. Sales and Marketing and Associates Council will be meeting on this day and participating in the drive.

MOBA Monthly Mailing for the Summer Recess
Due to the fact that most of the Councils and Committees recess for the Summer, MOBA will not be mailing the monthly calendars for June, July or August. The calendars for these months will be emailed or faxed, depending on how you are signed up to receive your weekly fax/email. If you are currently receiving by fax and would prefer to receive your weekly information via email, please contact Candy candy@moba.com

Street of Dreams Parking Kids Needed!
Do you know a high school student who wants to earn some
extra money this summer? MOBA is currently looking for
parking attendants for the Street of Dreams, July 11th-27th at
Cottonwood Creek. Kids must be at least 14 years of age and
have thier own transportation to and from the event. Call Lisa
at 333-2000, ext. 104 for applications.

Street of Dreams Sponsorships
We are now looking for Street of Dreams sponsors. Sponsorships
start at just $500! Many sponsorships included ad space in the
magazine and display space along with signage at the event. If
you would like a sponsorship sheet sent to you, contact Lisa at

Regency Homes Still in Business...
ORegency Homes (of Omaha) is still in business and doing well. The recent TV news segments concerning the financial problems of Regency Homes of Des Moines (which is not affiliated the Omaha Regency Homes) has created some confusion. We are still in business and plan to be for a long time. We will be there.

MISSION OMAHA 2009
In June of 2009, over 400 youth and their adult leaders will come into
Omaha from all areas of the country and in one week, renovate 60-80
homes for eldery, disabled and low income residents in the Omaha area
by donating over 14,000 hours of volunteer hours. This huge undertaking
requries an army of volunteers. Mission Omaha is currently looking for a
Local Site Writing Coordinator and a host of Site Writers/Troubleshooters.
If you are interested in finding out more about this incredible voluteer

New I-9 Immigration Form
In Nov. 2007, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced that it has released a revised and updated version of the Employment Eligibility Verification Form (Form I-9) that all employers are required to complete to verify the identity and work authorization of each hired employee.

Announcements...

We would like to congratualte Jeff and Cindy Winter on the birth of their son,
Reid Evan, who was born in April. Reid wighed 6 lbs. 3.1 oz. Welcome!!

Our thoughts and sympathy go out to the family and friends of Ray Galas who
passed away late last week. Ray was a great MOBA supporter and will be missed.

We would also like to offer our symapthies to Steve Franson, Franson Custom
Homes, on the loss of his father this past week.
